Welcome back!

Today we’re going to talk about Western Union, an American financial services company with a global footprint that serves as the backbone and point of contact between immigrant communities and their relatives back home.

I’ve opened a position in the business, and in this episode I’ll be discussing a few reasons why I did so.

This is a companion piece to last weeks equity analysis on Western Union WU 0.00 , if you haven’t read it yet, I recommend checking it out here:

Overall the company is a solid (though shrinking) business which is being sold at such a low valuation that I can’t help but think it’s worth buying.

This is primarily a value play in the traditional “Cigarette Butt” style as popularized by Benjamin Graham.

Let me know what you think!
